Patrik Ševčík

Born in 1974, Nitra, Slovakia, Works and live in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia I am a visual artist from Slovakia.

I use the printmaking strategy, also work with text, photography, found objects that I move into new contexts. Within the conceptual and post-conceptual strategies of contemporary art, I sometimes create an intangible form of work mediated by text. I often negate, erase or release them or make them unreadable. I point out things and phenomena. I involve various social and political issues, as well as the influence of the media on our daily lives. In recent years, I have been engaged in the production of screen printing. I have participated in several exhibitions in Portugal, Canada, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia.
