Claudia Wissmann

Born 1964 in Dingden. Lives and works in Hanover. 

From 1983 studied visual communication at the University of Applied Sciences in Krefeld. 1985 – 1992 – studied fine arts and film or Video art at the Münster Art Academy with Inge Mahn, Gunther Keusen and Lutz Mommartz. 1988 – 1989 University of Reading, England. There she studied under the influence of Installation artists Richard Wilson, Marc Camilla Chaimowicz and the two light artists Ron Haselden and the New Zealander Bill culbert Her art focuses on the relationship between nature, architecture and light. 

Wissmann uses daylight and artificial light for this to the reinterpretation and interpretation of buildings and places. as characteristic of her works of art is the confrontation with the Origin, history and function of buildings, rooms and places.
