Grzegorz Musiał - art curator and art ctictic

Studied art history and theory of photography at The Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Courtauld Institute of Art – University of London and at Universiteit Leiden. He graduated in 1982 from  the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. His MA thesis concerned photography of Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz, one of the pioneers of modern photography.

After graduation he worked as a curator at the Museum of Modern Art (Muzeum Sztuki) in Lodz - the first modern art museum in Europe founded in 1931. From 1992 to 2007 he run his own gallery of modern art in Lodz (Gallery 86) Since 2007, he has been working as an artistic director of Signum Foundation in Poznan and in Venice.

He organized and curated many important exhibitions in Poland and abroad, among others:

He published many books accompanying exhibitions he curated.
